Naked – May 27, 2016
Strange things happen sometimes.
Weird unimportant moments having to do nothing with our daily life stay with us; shock us.
Jogging at day break. Leaves magically drifting to the ground.
I continue on.
Fireflies dancing under the swaying leaves of the trees. Wind caressing my face in a warm welcome.
I continue on.
Running faster, I hear the screeching train tracks overhead.
Something is different. The lighting is not the same. Something about the way the universe is breathing has changed.
I continue on.
The fruit flies frantically warn flying in a repetitive but circular motion above my head.
Yet, I do not listen.
I continue on.
At a distance, I can see a man walking a dog.
I try to listen with my eyes yet feel nothing.
I continue on.
I come face to face with the dog walker.
I cannot look into his sunglass covered eyes, but an awkward fear sets in as I attempt a nod.
I continue on.
I feel his intrusive energy, trying to get inside me.
His energy dark. Dense. Hovering over me.
I continue on.
I feel perplexed. How can someone have made me feel so utterly naked?
I continue on.
I leave his body behind, but his presence, his darkness, still remains, lingering.
I continue on.
Heaviness on my shoulder. What is this?
I continue on.
